Gardiners and Company dominates the scene with a large department store called the Scotch House. Further behind Gardiners at number 45 is The Cock public house. Other shop fronts include Salomons Boot Factory at number 28, Pearce and Plenty at number 26, and William Coates and Co. wine merchants is located at numbers 24-25.
