Description
A view of number 36-38 Hanbury Street, Spitalfields, a Grade II listed, early eighteenth-century, four-storey house; listing number 1065177. This five-bay house was originally two separate houses, until renovation in the mid 1970s. It is stock brick built with red brick dressings and stucco bands between the floors and below the parapet. The stuccoed ground floor has two windows each side of a panelled front door which has pilasters and dentilled cornicing, and an entablature band above. The windows to the left of the door have wooden shutters. A car and lorry are parked at parking meters. Visible next door is the closed down premises of what was The Express Shoe Repairs at 79a Brick Lane.
