Title
Buildings in Frying Pan Alley
Description
A view of Frying Pan Alley, Spitalfields, taken from Sandy's Row. The building on the left, with six windows on its ground floor and a car parked in a loading bay, was built on the footprint of numbers 2-8 Frying Pan Alley and number 17 Sandy's Row, all of which were damaged during World War II. Numbers 10-18, just beyond, were originally a terrace of houses. These buildings were all replaced by a five-storey red brick office block, ABS House. Newcastle University London Campus now occupies the site on the right, which can be seen with steps to an underground car park.
