Title
Buildings in Commercial Street
Description
Numbers 104-108 Commercial Street, Stepney. Numbers 104 and 108 are the premises of Peter Vivian Ltd Textiles. Both buildings have numerous rolls of material and cloth in their shop windows. These three-storey buildings sit each side of number 106, which has an arched vehicle entrance to the courtyard behind. This has stacks of merhandise stored and was once Stapleton's Repository. To the left of these buildings part of The Golden Heart public house is visible. This Grade II listed pub was built in 1936 for Truman's Brewery, and designed by their in-house architect A.E. Sewell. There is a transit van with ladders parked outside.
