View of downstairs back room at 10 Tredegar Square, Bow, a mid-terrace, three-storey, mid-nineteenth-century house, looking towards the rear sash window. Furniture includes a freestanding two-door cabinet, a gingham-patterned Formica drop-leaf kitchen table, four spindle back kitchen chairs and a fitted alcove cupboard. Items on display include two sizes of laundry flat irons, a stoneware kitchen pot, a set of kitchen scales and weights, a lattice-pierced ceramic fruit bowl containing matches and other objects, a bone or plastic handled knife and dessert spoon, a ceramic urn, a lattice-topped ceramic teapot, a small pestle and mortar and an electric steam iron. Behind the urn is a cutting for the 'Habitat Chicken Brick' . A plastic holdall, a woven basket (in the style of Lloyd Loom) and a tee-square can be seen on top of the cupboard. The room has, probably, a c1930 steel fireplace with a wood surround and mantle and a tiled reveal. The room is decorated with nautical-themed and floral wallpaper.
