View of Three Colt Street
Description
View of Three Colt Street, Limehouse, looking south to Narrow Street and Limehouse Causeway. A vacant plot and the rear of a residential building can be seen to the right. A large corner building, once The Old Kings Head public house, and by the 1930s occupied by a banana merchant is in the distance. Newmak Turf Accountants and J & R Wilson & Co, a warehouse for ships supplies, sits next door on Narrow Street. The buildings form part of Limehouse Wharf and back onto Limekiln Dock. A man is walking on the pavement and several vehicles are parked on the street. A block of flats now occupies the vacant plot and the buildings on Narrow Street remain but are all now residential properties.
