Description
View of Three Colt Street and Narrow Street, Limehouse, looking west. Buildings on the site of the Barley Mow Brewery can be seen, as well as the Limehouse Power station (sometimes called Stepney Power Station). Several vehicles are parked in the street and cranes can be seen in the distance. The Barley Mow Brewery ceased operating in 1960 and was demolished around the time of this photograph. Limehouse Power Station was decommissioned in 1972 and demolished soon after. Blocks of flats now occupy the site.
