Description
View of the ship, Queen of the Channel, heading downstream past the Tower of London, Tower Hill, looking north. The ship, after taking trips from Ramsgate to the French coast, provided a ferry service from Tower Pier to Clacton via Southend until c1966 after which it was sold on and finally scrapped in 1984. The listed buildings of the White Tower and Lanthorn Tower can be seen beyond the trees, behind.
