Description
View of the northern side of King Edward VII Memorial Park, Ratcliff, looking west. Opened on 24 June 1922 by King George V and Queen Mary in memory of King Edward VII with an area of 3.3 hectares. The land had previously been the site of houses, as well as Shadwell Fish Market which opened in 1885. To the right of the park is 361-391 The Highway. A gap by number 381 with the mansard roof is a garage and indicates where Glamis Road ran between them. To the left is the spire of St Paul's Church. Apart from the church and memorial gardens, these buildings no longer exist.
