Description
Rear elevation of numbers 29-33 Aston Street, Stepney, a derelict corner shop and two two-storey terraced houses with attic rooms. The rear extensions, with a large shared chimney stack, of numbers 31 and 33 can be seen across the open back yard of number 29, which is strewn with rubble. The 1960s style tower block in the background has been demolished and replaced with a newer tower, part of a modern housing estate. These two houses and the corner shop have also been demolished and three houses, built in a similar style to the neighbouring houses on Matlock Street, now occupy the site. Two houses with frontages on Matlock Street have been redesignated as numbers 14a and 14b Matlock Street. The third house retains the address of 29 Aston Street.
