Description
View of 153-155 Walworth Road, North Walworth. The main building is Southwark Town Hall, on the corner of Walworth Road and Wansey Street, and the building on the right is Newington Library which used to house the Cuming Museum collection of scientific equipment and animalia collected by Richard Cuming. The Town Hall was built in 1865 in the Italianate style and extended in 1902 after the Newington Library was built. The Town Hall was Grade II listed in 1996; List Entry Number: 1386028.
