Description
Looking north from the second-floor balcony of Wingrave across the brick wall that hides Victory Place. To the right is 4 Victory Place, a three-storey block of flats. Games pitches have been laid out to the left and rear of number 4 on the site of a rag factory. Beyond the pitches are the rear elevations of derelict five-storey blocks of flats 116-212 and 214-260 (left to right, evens) Munton Road, the rendered side wall overlooking the site of identical block numbers 262-308 lost to enemy action during World War II. The remaining blocks of flats in Munton Road were demolished and the entire site incorporated into Victory Community Park.
