Title
Houses and shops in Whitfield Street
Description
A view along Whitfield Street, Fitzrovia, showing four-storey buildings at numbers 131 to 137. The shop at 131 is derelict and abandoned; it was a fish and chip shop and a sign is still visible on the window. A sign for Agra restaurant is visible; it still exists. A wooden buttress is visible in the background, next to few demolished buildings. Cars and minivan are parked outside, one of them on the pavement. Two men are walking on the pavement. Numbers 131 to 137 are Grade II listed buildings; listing number 1379191. The street suffered severely from air raids during World War II; most of its buildings have been replaced.
