Description
Front elevation of 38-50 Falmouth Road, Bermondsey. Until 1868, the southern part of Falmouth Road was named St George's Road and its northern part, Brunswick Street. Constructed as part of the Trinity Estate under a 1830 building lease. Numbers 42-50 form a flat-fronted two-storey terrace with roof parapet. The terrace was demolished and the site is now part of Dickens Fields open space. Numbers 38-40 are part of a two-storey terrace with basements and parapet roofs built in 1835-41. Original railings enclose the basement areas. This terrace, originally known as Queens Terrace, is Grade II listed, listing number 1385521. Two cars are parked on the street.
