Title
Houses in Fox's Buildings
Description
Front elevation of 9-39 Fox's Buildings, Newington, on the north side. Built in the late-eighteenth century it ran east from an entrance under buildings in Tabard Street, formerly Kent Street. View looking east at a two-storey brick-built terrace. A gas lamp standard is in the street. Women and children are standing in the doorways of their homes. These buildings on the north side were demolished before World War I and on the approximate site of Fox's Buildings is now Pilgrimage Street, with houses on the north side and Tabard Gardens to the south.
