Title
Corner of Blackfriars Road and Southwark Street
Description
View of the road junction on the corner of Southwark Street and Blackfriars Road, Bankside.

There is a railway bridge over Southwark Street with advertisements for the South Eastern & Chatham Railway offering travel to Paris and Belgium in 7 hours and Switzerland and Germany in 15 hours.

A building in the centre is owned by I. Cohen engineering, advertising English and American machine tools. Next to the building is the ramp down from the railway goods station with two horses and carts.

Blackfriars Road is cobbled and there are tram tracks visible. Two empty double-decker trams, the number 261 from Streatham in front, are stationary at the tram stop and a long line of men and women, perhaps as many as 100, are queueing along and across the road junction.
