Houses in Taviton Street
Description
A view of the front elevations of grand terraced houses at 2-5 Taviton Street, Bloomsbury. Number 3 seems to be under renovation with a builder's board attached to the juliet balcony and a plank running from it to the ground floor. A skip stands in the road outside. The words Albro Hotel are visible over the door. Cars parked outside include a Volkswagen Beetle and a Jaguar XJ12 with 5.3 litre V12 engine and registration number PUL147L. The houses are mainly of four storeys over a basement and three windows wide. Built about 1824 by Thomas Cubitt, the terrace of 1-12 Taviton Street was Grade II listed in 1969, listing number 1378972. Many of the houses are in use by University College London.
