Title
Building in Worship Street
Description
A view of the front elevation of 44 Worship Street, Hoxton, a double-fronted Victorian building. While having the design of a three-storey end-of-terrace home, a wrought iron sign over the doors read "City of London Garages" and a sign over one of the windows says: "Grahams Garages are pleased to announce that they have acquired this garage & will shortly be opening a further filling station and workshop". This may refer also to the corrugated iron structure just visible to the left. Number 44 is derelict with broken windows, and daylight is visible through the roof. A vertical sign at the first floor reads "Garage". The building survives as 46 Worship Street and is in use as offices.
