Description
A view of the junction Shrubland Road to the left and Albion Drive to the right, London Fields, with a three-storey, double-fronted Victorian house at the apex. With an elaborate portico, this is 99 Shrubland Road and somewhat grander than nearby properties. A Morris Oxford Traveller and other vehicles are parked in its yard. Behind it is a commercial building with a van outside bearing the name of A. Fogel & Sons Ltd of London. These buildings no longer exist, having been replaced by low-rise apartment blocks. Houses visible in Shrubland Road are in groups of four and one is scaffolded. A spire seen in the distance to the left is that of a "tin church" in Shrubland Road. In Albion Drive, a man waits at a bus stop and a boy is about to cross the road. Houses in Albion Drive are largely hidden by trees.
