Title
Carts and waggons near Hoxton Street
Description
A view of Stephens Mews, Hoxton Street, including a Manchester built model T Ford van, registration XA 2489 and several wagons. Behind these is a horse in harness between shafts. To the right are three men, one holding a pony and the others standing by buckets. Some horse manure is visible on the cobbled surface. Some of the buildings have chimneys. The ground-floor premises appear to be either garages or stables. The brick-built mews and the collection of two-storey buildings around it no longer exist. Stephens Mews became Dormer Mews and the site is now Hoxton Trust Community Garden.
