Description
St George's Circus, Elephant and Castle, Southwark. View of the north-east side of the circus showing multiple commercial premises which had been built in the 1820s and 1830s, including The Swan public house (at 125 Blackfriars Road), at the time part of Charrington's Brewery. The Eagle Dining Rooms serving breakfasts and hot joints is at number 11. At number 10 is W. Barnett Limited, a pawnbrokers, and next door is Abraham Shutske, a jeweller and watchmaker. The final building is occupied by a newsagent. Several pedestrians are in view.
