Title
Houses in Rodney Road
Description
Nineteenth-century terraced housing numbers 8-18 on Rodney Road, Walworth, at the junction with Deacon Street. Robins Farm Produce shop is on the corner at 90 Deacon Street, selling groceries and provisions. A woman pushes a pram past the shop window and a pushchair has been left at the shop door next to a line of empty glass bottles. This east end of Deacon Street no longer exists, and all buildings were demolished to redevelop the site as Heygate Estate 1971-74, which in turn was demolished 2011-14 and redeveloped 2010-25 as Elephant Park, a housing and retail space.
