Description
Duke's Head beer house, 8 Pocock Street, Southwark, at the corner with Wellington Place. The beer house appears to have ceased trading, as the walls and windows are painted with signs reading "Lot 1" and two workmen are erecting a barrier around the building. To the right of the beer house at number 6 Pocock Street is a grocers, and to the left a boy onlooker leans on a post. The buildings no longer exist and the site is occupied by Friars House office and retail block.
