Title
Derelict buildings in Dickens Square
Description
View of derelict three-storey buildings at 24-25 Dickens Square, Southwark. They have a basement level and bay windows on the ground floor. Many window panes have been removed, and some of the iron railings have been replaced with flimsy wooden fencing. A Ford is parked in the foreground, while a man works on another parked car behind. On the far left, the buildings on Bedford Row can be seen. Originally named Union Square when it was constructed in 1844, the buildings around the square no longer exist; they were demolished soon after to redevelop the area into Dickens Square Park.
