View of the south-east side of Dickens Square, Southwark, showing a terrace of seven two-storey brick houses, fronted by plain iron railings. On the right, projecting forward, is the side elevation of another house. The empty square contains a black and white bollard and a dusting of snow. Originally named Union Square when it was constructed in 1844, the area was redeveloped in 1971 into the Dickens Square Park.
