Title
Shop in Pitfield Street
Description
A view of the front elevation of a chemist's shop at 208 Pitfield Street, Hoxton, at the corner of Mintern Street. The shop advertises Snowfire face powder ("gives petal-like bloom") but little else. Soda siphons and chemists' flasks can be seen in the window. Above the shop is residential accommodation. A bracket that once held a sign is visible on the wall above the shop but there is no sign. Two boys are leaning on a post at the pavement edge. The building no longer exists and local authority housing in Oberon House occupies the site.
