House in Chester Terrace
Description
A view of the side elevation of a grand end-terrace house at 40 Chester Terrace, Regent's Park. The four-storey house is three windows wide in this elevation but half the windows are blind. The elevation is fully stucco covered. What appears to be a two-storey extension projects from the rear of the house with a Greek key pattern in the stucco. The building is viewed across a small garden. Visible at the right is a classical arch marking an entrance to Chester Terrace. Designed by John Nash and built c1825, numbers 1-42 Chester Terrace were Grade I listed in 1974; listing number 1271885.
