Description
A view of the front elevations of terraced buildings at 70-72 (even) Charlotte Street, Fitzrovia with shops on the ground floor and three storeys of accommodation above. Number 72 on the left has a stucco covered ground floor with a pair of slight bay windows as well as a door with an elaborate doorcase. Railings surround a basement area. Number 70 bears a sign on the ground floor reading "Photax" but there is a pile of bricks in front of the display window. The building above is partly under renovation, with no windows in the first floor. Parked in the street are vehicles at parking meters including a Ford Escort van with the name "Addo" on the side, and a BMC Mini. Built in the later eighteenth century, number 72 Charlotte Street was Grade II listed in 1974; listing number 1242928.
