View of the rusticated stone gate piers either side of the entrance to Poplar Recreation Ground on East India Dock Road, Poplar, looking west. The piers are included in a similar group of Grade II listed structures registered 27 September 1973, listing number 1065096. The Grade II listed Victorian Seamen's Institute (entry number 1240304) and flats on Hale Street can be seen beyond, together with pedestrians on pavement of East India Dock Road.
