First-floor rear room at 24 Grove Terrace, Kentish Town, a terraced house built by J Cheeke c1780. The fully furnished room contains a bed with decorative bedding, a chair, chest of drawers with a bowl on top, and an oriental style rug. An original looking fireplace sits centrally in the room on an angled wall. A historical map containing text "Campagna di Roma" is fixed above with a few ornaments displayed on the mantlepiece, and a lamp shade hangs from the ceiling. Adorning the wall to the right is what appears to be a print of a painting entitled "Hindu temple on the river Ganges, near Kara, Uttar Pradesh"; it is a coloured aquatint by Thomas Daniell, 1796. Also, a radiator is in view with a sash window above, a tree visible outside through open curtains. The room is carpeted and features a patterned wallpaper, with cornicing around the room. This house is Grade II listed along with the rest of the terrace which comprises numbers 6-27, listing number 1246374.
