Description
View of a row of Georgian terraced houses at 21-27 Grove Terrace, Kentish Town, part of a terrace built by J Cheeke c1780. To the foreground just in sight is the doorway of number 21, and past the service road to front and side is the lateral porch of 22 which is loftier than those of its neighbours; it has three windows to the front instead of two that appear elsewhere. Both 21 and 22 have stairs and railings leading up to their entranceways with a sign for Grove Terrace Mews in between. Balconies of great variety occur along this row. Majority of houses have doorways with Doric columns and arched fanlights above. Cast-iron railings run along the front with shrubs, bushes and hedges behind. An original streetlight is visible on the pavement, with lots of leaves scattered around on the ground, and just a glimpse of a car headlight can also be seen. The buildings are Grade II listed including attached railings and lamp holders; listing number 1246374 .
