Title
Shop sign in Gray's Inn Road
Description
Detail of shop sign at 265 Gray's Inn Road, King's Cross. The fascia over the double-fronted shop indicates it is occupied by C. A. Malvisi, M.R.C.V.S, Veterinary Surgeon. There is also a horse's head sculpture on the front elevation between first-floor windows and a hanging sign for the Metallic Compositions Co. by the shop door. By the mid-twentieth century 263-265 are marked as ruins on maps, possibly due to World War II bomb damage, and the site is now occupied by Clink261, a budget hostel.
