Description
A view of the doorway of a grand terraced house at 3 Fitzroy Square, Fitzrovia, home of the former London Foot Hospital. Plates either side of the door record the name of the hospital and the structure of the National Health Service within which it fits. Another tells patients to use a side entrance. The door has six panels and is fitted with a brass knocker and letterbox. Above the door is an elegant fanlight. It is approached between railings. Designed by Robert and James Adam and dating from 1792-98, numbers 33-40 Fitzroy Square and their railings were Grade I listed in 1954; listing number 1112997.
