Description
View from, possibly, a gallery between the first and second floors of the atrium, above the entrance hall and main lobby in St Pancras Town Hall, 5 Judd Street, St Pancras. Grade II listed, entry 1379162, built c1934 and renamed Camden Town Hall in 1965. The walkway is edged by Roman balustrading framing into marble-clad square Corinthian columns. The atrium has a central vault with glazed roof either side which, along with high-level windows over the doorway at the end of the walkway, and opening in the end wall with a pediment above, floods light into the building. The building is currently undergoing a major refurbishment lead by architects and heritage consultants, Purcell.
