Description
View of terraced houses on either side of Edis Street, Primrose Hill, in the former Metropolitan Borough of St Pancras, looking south. The brick-built three-storey with basement houses have ashlar stucco rendering to the ground floor, sash windows throughout, masonry cornices supported by brackets over the first-storey windows and entrance. Cast-iron pot guards around the first-floor window cills, and a rendered band at the parapet. The Queens Tavern public house is visible at the end of the terrace, on the right-hand side. A 'Kennedy and Dunphy' estate agents board can be seen fixed to the railings of number 7. Vehicles parked at the roadside includes a Hillman Husky (Imp based), a Ford Cortina Mk III, a pair of Volkswagen Beetles, an Austin Westminster A110, and a Fiat 128 amongst many others. The c1964 GEC utilitarian lampposts have since been replaced with Victorian period replicas.
