View of the interior of a ground-floor room, converted to office use, at the front of 27 Euston Square in the former Metropolitan Borough of St Pancras, looking north towards the rear of the property. The room is furnished with a wide leather-topped table with dining room chairs, a side table positioned next to opaque glazed dividing doors, a padded armchair, and a small X-framed fireside chair, visible through an open door. Framed pictures on the wall, hung from a picture rail, include a map, certificates and testimonials, a male group with names beneath, next to a wall clock, and, possibly, a plaque covered by a curtain. The fireplace has glazed tiled reveals, a reeded and marble surround with urn motifs along the top, and a thin mantle shelf stocked with decanters. An elephant figure, further framed testimonials, a measurement recording instrument in a glass case, and a carriage clock in a timber case. The room has darkly-painted plaster moulded panels below a dado rail, plain plastered walls and ceilings with dentil coving, and a central pendant light with a glass shade.
