Description
A view of the front elevations of grand terraced houses at 1-10 Cambridge Terrace, Regent's Park. Numbers 7-10 nearest the camera were badly damaged during World War II and later rebuilt in replica. The houses have four storeys plus attic over a basement and are stucco covered. The facade features balustrading, cornices and recesses with slightly projecting end and central elements. The terrace is viewed from the north across a line of railings. It faces onto gardens, seen at the right. Ivy grows up the side elevation of number 10. Visible in the distance is Cambridge Gate, a further terrace of grand houses, also damaged in the war. Built in 1825 by John Nash, numbers 1-10 Cambridge Terrace were Grade I listed in 1974, listing number 1244296.
