Description
View of a ground-floor front room of a terraced house at 9 Queen Anne Street, Marylebone. The room is furnished as an office with filing cabinets and several desks and chairs as well as telephones and other office paraphernalia. A woman is seen at a typewriter on one of the desks. Behind her are a fireplace and mantlepiece on which is a mirror. The photographer appears to be reflected in the mirror. A cup and saucer and jar with lid are seen on a tray on top of a group of office cabinets. Dating from the 1760s and built as part of the Portland Estate development, numbers 9-13 (odd) Queen Anne Street were Grade II listed in 1954; listing number 1265401.
