Description
Adam chimneypiece in the first-floor front room at 13-15 Portland Place, Marylebone. Fireplace is filled in with tiles and gas fire inserted. This Georgian house, built by Robert and James Adam in the 1770s, no longer exists. Numbers 13 and 15 were replaced in 1960 by an office block built in a similar neo-Classical style, whose address is 15 Portland Place.
