Building in Newman Street
Description
View eastwards of the front elevation of 27 Newman Street, Fitzrovia, adjacent terraced properties and access to Newman Passage. Built in c1760-70, it is a four-storey building with a shop occupying the ground floor. The shop door below a canvas awning is to the right and a display window is to the left. An area railing indicates a basement level. The front is dark stucco at ground floor and brickwork at the upper floors, and is two windows wide. There is little decoration apart from the red brick flat arches above the sash windows, and window boxes. The roof is hidden.
