Description
View northwards of the front elevation of 73 New Cavendish Street, Marylebone. A villa built in the late-nineteenth century replacing an earlier mews-end property onto Cavendish Mews North. A three-storey property (including mansard roof) with a basement and area railings, architecturally described as 'Regency revival'. The facade is decorated with channelled stucco; the central door has an arch over it, three windows on either side, and seven at first-floor level. There is a mansard with five dormers, each having an arched cornice. It is Grade II listed, listing number 1224601. Since the photo was taken, the property to the west of 73 has been rebuilt, and no longer corresponds to what is shown on the left-hand edge of the photo, though it is now also part of 73 New Cavendish Street.
