View of front elevation of Grade II listed terraced buildings at 27-32 Harcourt Street, Marylebone. Number 32 is the Harcourt Arms public house which has been here since 1826. Frontage with striped canvas awning, ash tray, and bar height shelf fixed to façade. Hanging pub sign of the coat of arms, coronet and supporters of the Harcourt family. Circular round bracket sign indicates food is served, and signs in shape of a pint glass with red hand indicating the Ind Coope and Allsopp Brewery. Once known as the Swedish pub, thanks to its Scandinavian clientele and location opposite the Ulrika Eleonora Church, The Swedish Church. The pub and street are named after John Simon Harcourt (1772-1810) of Ankerwycke, Buckinghamshire, MP for Westbury. Number 31 is a shop selling office equipment with typewriters and adding machines in window. Advertising for Hermes and the slogan on a poster 'Facit for the World’s Offices'. Number 29 is D. and H. Newman Limited with shop front painted white and advertisement for offset Litho printing and Direct Mail Publicity. School sign on post. Parked car. Listing number 1357078. The Swedish Church is listing number 1229504.
