Houses in Cramer Street
Description
View of Cramer Street, Marylebone, looking south. Three-storey, brick terraced houses built during the nineteenth century. Distinctive features include rounded doorway arches with fanlights, stucco facades and iron railings. Cars are parked on the road next to meters and Seary’s, formerly The Prince of Wales pub, is visible at 19 Cramer Street. Many buildings no longer exist and the site is now partly used as a car park. Cramer Street was named after violinist, Wilhelm Cramer, 1746–1799, and originally known as Great Barlow Street.
