Description
Front elevations of houses at 19-41 Rippoth Road, Fish Island, Bow, looking north east. Part of a terrace of 26 brick-built, two-storey residential houses. Nearest the camera on the left is number 19 which has a wooden fence to the side with the digit '15' painted on it. The houses have recessed front entrances with a round arch with a highlighted keystone mirrored above the ground-floor windows. The houses have recessed, iron boot scrapers in the wall next to the entrance. Parked in the street are an Austin Cambridge (registration KRX 979), next to a mature tree with no leaves, and a Ford Thames 300E van (registration 570 BGY). The street and houses no longer exist. The area was occupied by light industrial warehouses before residential flats were constructed.
