Shop in Teviot Street
Description
View of the front elevation of Watneys off-licence at 185 Teviot Street, Poplar, at the junction with Venue Street. The two-storey building with ground-floor shop front likely dates from the 1950s. Products are displayed in the windows, two display boards reading 'Brown and Pank' and 'Wines and Spirits'. On the left is a three-storey building with ground-floor shops and flats on the upper floors which likely date from the 1950s-1960s. Bunting is attached to the building and the blocks in Venue Street marking an unknown celebration. Graffiti for 'MAN UTD' on the side wall. Parked cars in Venue Street. An additional level was later added to the top of number 185.
