Description
Front elevation of 1-7 Abbey Gardens, St Johns Wood, looking north east. Originally named St Johns Place, it is a small street off Abbey Road. A terrace of three-storey houses with basements and attics built in 1850. Projecting porches with Doric pillars, and a continuous bombe cast-iron balcony to the first floor. In 1891 these four households were headed by single or widowed women 'Living on Own Means'. Two cars are parked on the street.
