Description
Front elevation of 13 Abercorn Place, St John's Wood. Abercorn Place runs north east from Maida Vale to Abbey Road and was laid out in the early-nineteenth century on land owned by Harrow School. It was named after a school governor, Lord Abercorn. A house at the centre of a three-storey terrace with parapet roof. Decorative cast-iron balconies to the first-floor casement windows, with floral plaques above. In 1881, number 13 was occupied by Joseph Beedle, a pianoforte maker, his wife Eliza, their three children and two lodgers.
