Description
Detail of front elevation of 15 Abbey Gardens, St Johns Wood. Originally named St Johns Place, it is a small street off Abbey Road. One of a terrace of three-storey houses with basements built in 1850. Buildings have Buildings have arched porches with Ionic pillars, a continuous bombe cast-iron balcony to the first floor, and cornices to the first-floor windows. Numbers 9-41 are Grade II listed, listing number 1357182. Scaffolding surrounds the house with poles on the path and a dustbin is in the front garden. In 1891, number 15 was occupied by Emma Tatchell, her two children and her mother-in-law, 'Living on own Means'.
