Title
House in Libra Road
Description
Front elevation of 81 Libra Road, Bow. The front door is open and there is a chalk board with a number on the window sill, indicating that the building was earmarked for demolition. On the right, a part of house number 83 can be seen. The vacant lot on the left used to be house number 79, which was presumably bomb damaged during World War II, like many houses in the area. House number 81 was later demolished; a garden area behind an apartment development now occupies its site. The length of Libra Road has been reduced and most of the houses on it have been demolished.
