Description
Engineering works on former Universe rope works site, Glengall Grove, Poplar. Site cleared to make room for construction of Hammond House which was built in 1937-38 for Poplar Borough Council. Rear elevation of houses can be see behind the verge adjacent to a large shed. Hammomd House was demolished in 2011 to make way for a new housing development. Glengall Grove was renamed Glengall Road and is now Tiller Road.
